The Hari Espresso Ottoman furthers Barry Goralnick's exploration of the Greek Key motif. "The universal form, originally called the Meander, was found in ancient civilizations all over the world," he notes; "interestingly, in cultures that could not have known one another." The frame on the dark brown ottoman is made of beechwood in an espresso finish and with a removable cushion. The arms are stylized versions of the form often found in Asian design; and the tapered legs with curved feet salute motifs that hearken back to calligraphy. Singly or in pairs, which would form an implied bench, this design works well as an accent for the end of a bed, the edge of a foyer, or as an element in a seating arrangement.
